Center for Women’s and Children’s Health and Well Being
I founded CWCHWB with physicians, nurses, mental health professionals and other passionate community members to address the cares and needs of women and children with limited financial resources. The Center continues to be very active in our two main projects: Infant Safe Sleep and Yes Ma’am.
Infant Safe Sleep: the goal is to help save the lives of babies by providing “Safe Sleep Sacks” to parents whose babies are born at local hospitals. Our Center has provided over 5000 of these sacks during the last three years. We also provide families with educational material.
Project Yes Ma’am: is designed to help save women’s lives from breast cancer by providing education and free mammograms to individuals who otherwise could not afford the them. Through Yes Ma’am approximately 400 free mammograms are provided each year to women of need.
