We’ve all heard that “Jesus is the reason for the season.” When I hear that statement, I think, “He was born for us so He could die for us”. I also think that without Jesus, we wouldn’t have Easter, marriage, baptism, The Church, and the list goes on.
What meaning does the statement “Jesus is the reason for the season” hold for you?
Dr. Wolf,
Aside from the reasons you listed. I think the statement “Jesus is the reason for the season” is to remind us what Christmas is about. Christmas has become so commercialized that people tend to forget what Christmas is REALLY about.
Dear Lisa, You are so correct. The stores star selling items even before Thanksgiving! Dr. Wolf
