This is Easter week. To me Easter is the most significant of all Christian celebrations.
A little boy was born, walked among men, and changed the world then, now, and forever. Most importantly – he died on the cross for you and for me.
The empty cross holds supreme significance for all who have given their life to Christ. It reminds us of God’s ultimate sacrifice – the unimaginable death of his son, Jesus Christ, and the gift of all gifts – forgiveness of sin.
Jesus died to make us free. It’s hard to believe we have a new beginning anytime we humbly ask him to forgive our sins. We don’t deserve this gift, but he gives it freely because of the Father’s love. How wonderful to know we can have a fresh start and hope for our future on Earth and Eternity with him. We are blessed!
Let’s thank him by seeking direction in his Word, praying daily, and living with purpose all the days of our lives – to glorify his name.
Take hold of his outreached hand. It’s open and waiting for you.
